KRAKOW

Krakow turned out to be, to my surprise, one of my favourite places I visited. It is a beautiful city with the strangest pastel coloured buildings that seem to curve and slant wonkily along the streets. The people are the kindest that I met on my travels. The food is amazing and cheap. I enjoyed drawing the patterns decorating the buildings and their colours as well as this beautiful taxidermy deer which was hung on the wall of a 'British' pub. Unfortunately, due to a hostel mishap we were unable to stay there very long but it is somewhere I will be returning to.

From the train to Krakow I spotted this insane piece of graffiti, I think it is the best I have ever seen. I later searched the internet to see if there was anything about it and it turns out its the work of the Belgium artist ROA, whose work can be found across Europe and the U.S.
This is some of his other work, animals and anatomy are the main subject he seems to draw. I love how the work often changes with the building or surface it is being painted on and the macabre feel that all the animals posses.
