Amsterdam is an interlocking mesh of tiny streets and canals. With little quirky buildings popping up everywhere, their colours constantly changing and with decorations and patterns unlike anything one would see in England. Amsterdam is far more beautiful then I expected, in a pop up/model town unusual kind of way. It doesn’t feel like a city, it feels far cleaner and smaller. Far more pretty and picturesque and perfect. Obviously, this untouched pretty innocence changes at night when you see another side to this place but in the sun light it looks beautiful.
I went to the Van Gogh museum to see the biggest collection of his work that there is today. I wouldn't say I was a big fan of Gogh but this exhibition has really changed my views on him and it was impressive to see how diverse his subjects are. His painting of a crab really captures the movement and colour and his blossom branch is formed from the most splendid colours. His paintings are far greater in the flesh, the colours seem more alive and the movement of the brush strokes is more visible.
