LANDOR WORK

Landor work in progress for the 'Dark London' brief. Joint screen print project with Melissa North, for the design agency Landor. The brief is to create art work in response to an unusual/quirky/strange/dark place/building/club/environment/ area of London that you are intrigued by and enjoy. These will be collected together creating a book of interesting places to visit in London that Landor can offer to visiting clients etc. Melissa and I have chosen to go back to Heygate Estate (a place we visited in 1st year for a project) and document the change over the last 2 years. How this estate complex has been run down and abandoned and is now in the process of being demolished. We aim to have 4 screen prints overall, each representing a different idea/concept we have about the Heygate Estate. Using black and white film photographs we have taken of Heygate Estate, we set about cutting them out and collaging them together, making separate images. We then combined our ideas in order to create the final ideas.
