SAATCHI GALLERY

Went to see the Paper Exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery. Really impressed by the work and the variation, there was some really intriguing and different things on show. Several artists really stood out for me.

STORM THARP
His work stands out due to his use of ink/water bleeds and leaks. He seems to create the features of his characters faces out of the movement of the ink and build his drawings around them.

DAWN CLEMENTS
Her use of materials and scale is what catches you first. The way her work was displayed in the Saatchi meant that it followed the shape of the wall, continuing round the corner. This large scale drawing has such a sense of space, of being alive and throws the viewer straight into what the artist is seeing an visualising.
