SCREEN PRINTING

Since January I have grown extremely interested in print making and having experimented a lot with lino printing I thought it would be good to make sure i was confident with screen printing before third year so I set myself a mini project. I wanted to turn an observational study of a wolf I had drawn in pencil into a screen print.

First I traced the separate colour layers for the different screens. This drawing has many different colours so I condensed it down to 8 different colours, black, white, dark grey, light grey, red, light brown , dark brown and chestnut.

Once all eight screens were prepared and ready the registration of each one was the most important thing. Then the colours where mixed up and I was ready to go.
